About Me

I am a family psychiatric nurse practitioner providing psychiatric care and therapy to children, adolescents, and adults.

I earned my BA in psychology summa cum laude from Southwestern University.  Seeking a career that combined my interests in psychology and biology, I earned my BS in nursing at the University of Texas at Austin.   Before becoming a nurse practitioner, I worked at a residential treatment center for children with psychiatric illness. There, I collaborated with an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, nurses, parents, and therapists to develop and implement treatment plans for clients.  That experience confirmed my desire to work as an advanced practice nurse in the area of mental health, and I subsequently earned my Master’s degree in the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Texas. I’ve been in private practice in the Austin area for the past 12 years.

When I’m not working, I enjoy traveling, doing puzzles, hiking, supporting the Pittsburgh Steelers, and spending time with my family and fur-babies (1 dog and 2 cats).
